Our people are pushed by curiosity to increase fundamental data and to look past the borders of their own discipline; their goal is to benefit science and to make a contribution to addressing the major societal challenges of the future. While the main target of this journal is on science and engineering, contributions from a broad vary of disciplines, including social sciences and humanities, are welcomed. A new research from the Academy’s project on the Public Face of Science analyzes public optimism and reservations about science and expertise across fifty four nations and 81,000 people.
